DENNY TEDESCO

After 30 years in the film business in various roles and job titles,

where do you start?  You have to start somewhere, so here we go.

As a producer or as a director, I bring to the table everything I learned over the years.  My goal as a producer is to make sure my director is supported and gets what he or she needs to bring out their vision.  But at the same time, I need to make sure we deliver the product on time

and on budget for our client.

I try to create a collaborative atmosphere where we work as a team; from PAs and Art Department to the Grips & Makeup. And now, I would like to bring my experience and dedication to your project...

While attending Loyola-Marymount University, I started my real film career as a set decorator on low budget feature films such as 'Eating Raoul.’  When I graduated college I worked as a grip and electrician during the hey day of rock and roll music videos with such acts as; The Ramones, Sting, Beach Boys, Chicago, Billy Idol, Janet Jackson, Robbie Nevil,

and many more.

At the end of the 1980s and into the '90s I was privileged to travel the world as a lighting technician and location producer for IMAX films. From the shark infested waters of Australia, to an exploding Volcano of Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines and to the plains of Africa, I filmed under the most challenging conditions.  But ultimately nothing has been more challenging then my labor of love producing and directing the documentary film "The Wrecking Crew".

"The Wrecking Crew" is a tribute to the session players of the LA music studio scene in the golden era of music. I started filming this documentary in 1996 when my father and WC member, Tommy Tedesco was diagnosed with terminal cancer.  The film includes my interviews with Cher, Brian Wilson, Glen Campbell, Leon Russell, Herb Alpert, Nancy Sinatra, Mickey Dolenz, Roger McGuinn and so many more.  Self financed and winning numerous awards over the years, I  had to come up with unique marketing ideas to raise the $750,000 to pay off the music licensing rights.  Finally, following a  hugely successful Kickstarter campaign the film was pick up for distribution by Magnolia Pictures and now after a very successful theatrical run the film is currently on Netflix.

I have also worked in various capacities on many other projects for companies such as Comedy Central, Game Show Network,

Time Life, and more.
